In addition to promoting continuous improvement and safety in healthcare, the RACGP’s Standards for general practices (5th edition) also helps general practices to identify and address any gaps in their systems and processes.
If your practice meets the standards, you will receive accreditation for a 3-year period.
Accreditation is also a prerequisite for accessing grants from Medicare Australia, such as the Practice Incentives Program (PIP).
