My Health Record in general practice

My Health Record in general practice

My Health Record is Australia’s national digital health record system. It is an online repository of documents and data containing information about an individual’s health and can be accessed online by healthcare consumers and their healthcare providers.

A My Health Record was established for most individuals known to Medicare and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) in 2019.
9 out of 10 Australians currently have a My Health Record.

Consumers can cancel their My Health Record at any time and re-register for a new record should they decide in the future that they want one.
