The RACGP is your CPD Home. We recognise the CPD you do in practice and have tailored your CPD program to your scope and the way you work, providing the technology you need and access to thousands of activities across the breadth of General Practice.
Your CPD program comprises the following requirements.

Figure 1. https://www.amc.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Criteria-for-AMC-Accreditation-of-CPD-Homes-August-2022.pdf
- The minimum requirements for your annual CPD are 50 hours of CPD across three activity types - Educational Activities, Reviewing Performance and Measuring Outcomes
- Program-level requirements are:
- Culturally Safe Practice
- Health Inequities
- Professionalism
- Ethical Practice
Each year, you must include at least one activity in your CPD that addresses each of these areas. It can be an ‘in practice’ activity or a specific learning objective and may combine one or more of these elements or address them separately. It’s up to you and should be considered in relation to your individual needs. Please visit our program-level requirements page for further information

High-level requirements
Some specialist colleges have high level requirements approved by the MBA. These relate to the outcomes of training to achieve specialist registration in the relevant specialty.
For General Practice, you need to complete CPR each triennium.
If you hold a dual Fellowship i.e. you belong to another Specialist Medical College, you must check whether your other Specialist College has any approved High-Level requirements. Here’s a link to the MBA guidelines.
