Message from your President 

As your RACGP President, I’m very proud to represent our profession and diverse membership working all around the country – from the big cities to regional and rural towns, to remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. 
 
The value of general practice must never be underestimated. Every week more than two million Australians see a GP, and we make a difference to thousands of lives every day. We know that investing in general practice is the best investment in our health system and the future of our community. There is no substitute for the quality care a patient receives from a GP who knows them. RACGP members are at the heart of everything we do. 
 
By choosing to be an RACGP member, you gain access to essential resources, your CPD home, and a strong professional network. You can guide and support the RACGP’s advocacy. More importantly, you help shape the future of our profession. Our collective voice allows us to send a powerful message to policymakers regarding the changes needed to achieve a sustainable and high-functioning health system for our patients, with general practice at the heart. This is central to our member-driven advocacy – and it wouldn’t be possible without your membership and your insights. 
I encourage you to stay engaged with your College to enhance your career and strengthen patient care.
