Registrar support payments
Registrars engaged in community General Practice Terms in the Australian General Practice (AGPT) program in 2023 will receive nationally consistent payments administered by Services Australia from 1 February 2023.
To receive these payments you must:
- be an AGPT enrolled registrar
- Commence in a community general practice placement in any MMM2-7 location
- have a PRODA account setup with your bank details
Payment amounts are set by the Department of Health and Aged Care and paid according to the MMM classification of the accredited training practice as set out below.
Registrar support payments will be paid to registrars during their community General Practice terms quarterly in advance.

Additionally, RACGP registrars taking up remote placements in MMM6 & 7 locations will have access to additional support direct from the RACGP as follows
