Changes to registrar National Consistent Payments from 2025.2

From 2025.2, registrar National Consistent Payments (NCP) will be pro-rata based on the registrar's training time in a particular Modified Monash Model (MMM) location. Please visit the Department of Health's website for further information about the change and NCP resources

Registrars engaged in community General Practice Terms in the Australian General Practice (AGPT) program in 2024 will receive nationally consistent payments administered by Services Australia from 1 February 2024. 
To receive these payments you must:

  • be an AGPT enrolled registrar
  • Commence in a community general practice placement in any MMM2-7 location 
  • have a PRODA account setup with your bank details

Payment amounts are set by the Department of Health and Aged Care and paid according to the MMM classification of the accredited training practice as set out below.

Registrar support payments will be paid to registrars during their community general practice terms quarterly in advance.

Payments will be made via Services Australia. Please note that from 2025.2 registrar payments will be pro-rata, in line with the updated NCP framework.
