Joint Colleges Training Services (JCTS) Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd (JCTS) is a joint venture of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (the RACGP). JCTS will enable the RACGP and ACRRM to deliver shared GP training activities for our respective fellowship training programs and includes the development and delivery of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health strategic plans, cultural education and cultural mentorship, the provision of registrar housing in some remote Northern Territory and communities and other potential areas of collaboration. Our first and most important priority is to ensure continuity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Training initiatives and support.
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) have agreed on a board composition of seven (7) directors, three from each college and an independent Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander chairperson. Each college has nominated two of their three director positions to people responsible for the delivery of the AGPT program. The other position for each college will be occupied by a senior Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with deep understanding of general practice training, cultural education, and mentorship. The JCTS has appointed an Interim General Manager, Anthony Paulson. The JCTS board will commence a national recruitment process to appoint a permanant General Manager in the coming months. Recruitment will be an open, merit-based process conducted by a selection committee determined by the JCTS board.
