 Consultations closed

The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) has opened the first of three rounds of public consultation for the accreditation standards for pharmacist prescriber education programs.

An environmental scan and literature review of international and national literature of pharmacist prescribing and accreditation standards of other prescribing health professions has been undertaken and the purpose of the first consultation paper is to provide information to start a conversation, generate feedback and maintain dialogue.

There are several ways to engage in providing feedback:

  1. Complete the APC survey.
  2. Attend a Stakeholder Consultation Forum in Melbourne on 20 March 2023. Face-to-face registration or virtual registration is available.
  3. Make a written submission by completing the consultation question template.
  4. Telephone feedback. Ideal for a short statement on one or more of the areas for consultation (relevant to the review) which of significant or personal interest. Email pharmacyreform@racgp.org.au to have a member of the APC review team call you for your feedback.

RACGP will be providing a submission. If you would like to provide comments for consideration in RACGP’s submission, please provide your comments to pharmacyreform@racgp.org.au by 29 March 2023.
