Our experience as a major CPD provider with the RACGP has been exceptional. The open communication and platform they provide has enabled us to amplify our GP education initiatives and network which has ultimately supported us in our mission to deliver exceptional patient centred care.

As an RACGP CPD Major Provider in 2023, we’re delighted to have collaborated with the RACGP to co-design and deliver the national ‘Everyday Scope of Health’ webinar series focussing on common GP presentations. One of the key benefits of being a Major Provider is being able to connect and showcase our large network of specialists and doctors across Australia with general practitioners. The participation rate of GPs engaging with clinically-robust national CPD program has been exceptional.

My role at Sonic Healthcare Education, a proud partner of the RACGP and a CPD major provider, has shown me value of our work. We work closely with the RACGP, the CPD Home of choice for GPs, to continue the tradition of quality education and support for primary care in Australia. It has been a great opportunity for me to work with and support GPs in meeting their CPD requirements, and I look forward to continuing to play my part in the delivery of quality medicine in Australia.

RACGP’s support and resources have enhanced our ability to deliver independent, substantial, top-tier CPD programs our GPCE and Think GP educational activities. We have been particularly impressed by the collaborative approach the college has taken in working with us as a Major Provider to implement the new CPD requirements of the Medical Board of Australia (MBA). We look forward to continuing our positive partnership as we make significant strides in delivering GP professional development together. 

With the transition to the new CPD requirements for GPs, we have been supported by local RACGP staff who have provided training and feedback to our new CPD representatives.  This has helped us ensure our events meet the education needs of rural GPs and clearly promote the CPD activity types, and hours, for each session.

The new RACGP CPD framework facilitates the delivery of quality training opportunities for GPs, and also affords appropriate recognition for the important contribution that GPs make to research and teaching. This is key to ensuring translation of research into evidence-based patient care and in training the next generation of physicians. We welcome working with the RACGP to offer a range of CPD opportunities for GPs that help enhance the primary care system.

Country to Coast, QLD works closely with general practice across the Central Queensland, Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast regions to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.
