Submission to the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care on the Public consultation on the Best Practice Guidelines for Preventing Falls and Harm from Falls in Older People (Falls Guidelines)

The RACGP has provided a response to the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care on the Public consultation on the Best Practice Guidelines for Preventing Falls and Harm from Falls in Older People (Falls Guidelines). The RACGP’s response provides feedback on the Falls Guidelines for Residential Aged Care Services and for Community Care. We recommend the Falls Guidelines aligns with guidance in current RACGP guidelines to ensure general practice has the best available advice. Our response also proposes a fact sheet would be a helpful addition to provide GPs with quick, accessible information.
