We have a range of categories for health professionals at different stages of their careers, from GPs in training to retired doctors and GPs living overseas. As an RACGP member you're a part of a community dedicated to supporting GPs and strengthening the future of the general practice profession, ensuring the health and wellbeing of Australians.

RACGP membership categories

Full fee You’re a medical practitioner who holds Australian medical registration and earn $150,000 or more from all revenue sources before tax. Yes $1643
Concession fee You’re a medical practitioner who holds Australian medical registration and earn less than $150,000 from all revenue sources before tax. Yes $985
Overseas You’re a medical practitioner who holds valid overseas medical registration and lives overseas or a medical practitioner who holds valid Australian medical registration and lives overseas for most of the financial year. Yes $896
 
Senior You’re a practising GP aged 70 or older. Yes $658
GP in Training
 		 You’re currently enrolled in the Australian General Practice Training Program, Remote Vocational Training Scheme, Practice Experience Program or Fellowship Support Program. Yes $600
International Medical Graduate
 		 Overseas trained medical practitioner residing in Australia but has not yet obtained medical registration in Australia.
*Doctors in this category have access to myCPD but the RACGP cannot report to Ahpra on their behalf until they hold medical registration in Australia.		 Yes $600
 
Overseas - International
(GST N/A)		 You’re a medical practitioner who holds valid overseas medical registration and is a member one of the following colleges, Fiji College of General Practitioners, Hong Kong College of Family Physicians & Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia and you live and work outside of Australia. No $334
 
Pre-vocational You’re a student currently enrolled in a medicine program approved under the National Law, or a resident or intern who may be considering a career in general practice and is working in a hospital.
*This excludes myCPD home access.
PGY 3+ doctors who want to nominate the RACGP as their CPD home must join with a Full or Concession category.		 No Free
Retired GP who has permanently retired from general practice. This excludes access to the RACGP Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program.
Note: doctors who hold practising registration in Australia are required to have a CPD home.		 No Free
Life Membership You've had continuous membership with the RACGP for 35 years Yes Free
