RACGP educational framework
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is the voice of general practice in Australia. For more than 60 years, we’ve supported the backbone of Australia’s health system by setting the standards for education and practice and advocating for better health and wellbeing for all Australians.
The RACGP is now the largest training organisation responsible for the training and ongoing education of GPs in Australia. As such, the RACGP educational framework outlines our approach to education and encompasses all the essential components of learning for Australian GPs. The framework provides a foundation for guiding, supporting and maintaining the high standard of general practice training and education in Australia. By anchoring the guiding instruments of RACGP education and training it recognises the specialty training required for GPs as experts in their field of practice.
We trust that this educational framework will provide a best practice foundation to support our profession’s commitment to high-quality GP teaching and learning that is reflective of the diverse nature of Australian general practice and the communities in which GPs serve.
