Practice Incentives Program eHealth Incentive (ePIP)

The Practice Incentives Program eHealth Incentive (ePIP) is administered by Services Australia on behalf of the Department of Health and Aged Care and aims to encourage general practices to keep up to date with the latest developments in digital health and adopt new digital health technology as it becomes available.

To participate in the ePIP, practices must be accredited against the RACGP Standards for general practices and meet five eligibility requirements, including the upload of Shared Health Summaries to My Health Record.

The RACGP has developed a range of draft policy templates for general practices to adapt to their individual practice needs when registering and complying with the requirements for the ePIP.

These policies are to be used as a guide and must be individualised to suit your organisation’s particular needs. The RACGP advises not to implement these policies without first considering the specific needs of your practice. You can find more information on the ePIP on the Australian Digital Health Agency website
