Mid-Term Appraisals

Mid-term appraisals begin April 17th. All AGPT GPT 1,2 and 3 registrars including part-time registrars will require a mid-term appraisal.

Primary supervisors will be contacted via email with details of how and when to complete these in the Training Management System.

The Mid-term and end-of-term appraisals: a guide for GP Supervisors has been written to help you understand these assessments and aid the provision of feedback during assessment conversations.

The Registrar Clinical Encounters in Training (ReCEnT project)

ReCEnT is a long-running project which documents the in-consultation clinical and educational experience of GP registrars. ReCEnT is first and foremost an educational project enabling reflection on clinical practice. It also provides a database to allow research for quality improvement of GP training.

ReCEnT has been conducted continuously since 2010. It is currently (since 2016) conducted in all of NSW, ACT, and Tasmania, as well as eastern Victoria.

During 2024 and 2025 there will be a staged roll-out to all regions of the RACGP GP Training program.
