He was the Director of the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine in Oxford from 2003-2010.

Dr Sam Manger is a clinical and academic General Practitioner and Consultant with a focus on lifestyle medicine and mental health. He is the Academic Lead of the Postgraduate Degrees in Lifestyle Medicine at James Cook University College of Medicine and Dentistry, as well as the Immediate Past-President of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr John Bennett PhD FRACGP FACHI works full time as a GP in two practices in St Lucia and Toowong, in Brisbane.

Dr Tammy Hoffmann is an Associate Professor of Clinical Epidemiology in the Centre for Research in Evidence-Based Practice at Bond University.

Her main research interests are in evidence-based practice; shared decision making; and the self-management, rehabilitation and secondary prevention of chronic conditions, especially stroke and falls. She also has a particular interest in non-pharmacological interventions and is currently involved in a number of initiatives to facilitate the translation of effective interventions into practice.

Kim is a Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy, at the University of Melbourne, Director of the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine, and an ARC Future Fellow.

Her main research interest is in improving conservative, non-drug management of musculoskeletal conditions particularly osteoarthritis and she currently holds an NHMRC Program grant in this area.

Dr Dan Ewald splits his work time between being a GP in private practice on the Far North Coast of NSW, a GP in an Aboriginal Medical Service, Clinical Adviser to North Coast NSW Primary Health Network and Adjunct Ass Prof Sydney Uni Medical School. He has been involved in a number of policy and guidelines forums including for NSW Health and RACGP.

He is interested in building a strong primary care sector to deliver evidence based health care. His main wish is for more time to fit everything in.

Ben is a general practitioner in suburban Newcastle, and an academic GP with the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Newcastle. Previously he has worked with divisions of general practice, and in Aboriginal health during 10 years in Alice Springs.

Ben is currently running various research projects in the areas of physical activity coaching, injuries related to cycling, and step counts in older people. He is convinced that physical inactivity is the predominant public health threat of the 21st century in Australia, now that smoking is a peculiar minority activity.

Jan Radford (FRACGP, FARGP, PhD, MPsychMed, MEd, MBBS) is Professor in General Practice at the University of Tasmania. She is based in Launceston where she has worked as a GP for 37 years. Jan is an academic general practitioner with extensive experience in curriculum development, delivery, and assessment for medical training at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is Director of the Launceston Clinical School.

Jan's research interests include medical education, primary care systems redesign, the use of routinely collected medical record data as a research tool, and translating evidence into practice using all of these approaches.

David King is an academic GP who has taught evidence-based medicine to students and doctors for over 20 years. He is a senior lecturer in the discipline of General Practice, University of Queensland, and does clinical sessions in student health and refugee health.

Associate Professor Lauren Ball is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian, NHMRC Fellow and Lead of the Healthy Primary Care team at Griffith University. She is an alumnus of Cambridge University, UK and now the Global Strategy Lead at the NNEdPro Global Centre for Nutrition and Health in Cambridge. A/Prof Ball is a national leader in nutrition and primary care research, having published over 100 peer-reviewed articles on the topic and attracted over $3.5 million in research funding from government bodies, non-government organisations and philanthropic foundations. Dr Zoe Michaleff is the Research Operations Manager for Northern NSW Local Health District.

Professor Ian Scott is a consultant general physician and immediate past director of Internal Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He is a professorial research fellow at the Queensland Digital Health Centre and Professor in Clinical Decision-making at University of Queensland. He is inaugural chair of the Metro South Clinical AI Working Group and the Queensland Health Sepsis AI Working Group. He is also immediate past inaugural chair of the Australian Deprescribing Network. He has longstanding research interests in evidence-based medicine, clinical reasoning, clinical informatics, quality and safety improvement, and quality use of medicines.
