Dr Dan Ewald splits his work time between being a GP in private practice on the Far North Coast of NSW, a GP in an Aboriginal Medical Service, and Clinical Ass Prof Sydney Uni Medical School. He has been involved in several policy and guidelines forums including for NSW Health and RACGP and for 20 years was clinical advisor to North Coast Primary Health Network and its predecessor organisations.

He is interested in building a strong primary care sector to deliver evidence-based health care. His main wish is for more time to fit everything in.

Professor Paul Glasziou FRACGP, PhD is Emeritus Professor of Evidence-Based Medicine at Bond University and was a part-time GP.

He was the Director of the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine in Oxford from 2003-2010 and Director, Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare at Bond University from 2010-2024.

Dr Tammy Hoffmann is a Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and NHMRC Investigator Leadership Fellow at the Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare at Bond University.

Professor Kim Bennell is a Melbourne Laureate Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy, at the University of Melbourne, Director of the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine, and an NHMRC Investigator Fellow.

Her main research interest is in improving conservative, non-drug management of musculoskeletal conditions particularly osteoarthritis.

Professor Jan Radford (FRACGP, FARGP, PhD, MPsychMed, MEd, MBBS) is Professor in General Practice at the University of Tasmania. She is based in Launceston where she continues to work as a GP for 39 years. Jan is an academic general practitioner with extensive experience in curriculum development, delivery, and assessment for medical training at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Jan's research interests include medical education, primary care systems redesign, the use of routinely collected medical record data as a research tool, and translating evidence into practice using all these approaches.

Dr Ben Ewald is a general practitioner in suburban Newcastle, and a conjoint academic with the University of Newcastle. Previously he has worked with divisions of general practice, and in Aboriginal health during 10 years in Alice Springs.

Ben has over 40 research publications on topics relevant to general practice and public health including in the areas of physical activity coaching, injuries related to cycling, step counts in older people and the impacts of air pollution. He is enthusiastic about applying epidemiologic methods to the problems seen in general practice.

Dr David King is an academic GP actively teaching and examining students and doctors for over 30 years. His teaching focus includes evidence-based medicine and clinical skills. He is a senior lecturer in the General Practice Clinical Unit, University of Queensland, and does works clinical in student health and refugee health.

His research interests include medical education, mental health, respiratory infections and health promotion.

Professor Lauren Ball is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian, Fellow of Dietitians Australia and Director of the Centre for Community Health and Wellbeing at The University of Queensland.  Lauren is a national leader in nutrition and primary care research, having published over 200 peer-reviewed articles on the topic and attracted over $14 million in research funding from government bodies, non-government organisations and philanthropic foundations. Dr Sam Manger is a clinical and academic General Practitioner and Consultant with a focus on lifestyle medicine and mental health. Professor Ian Scott is a consultant general physician and immediate past director of Internal Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He is a professorial research fellow at the Queensland Digital Health Centre and Professor in Clinical Decision-making at University of Queensland. He is inaugural chair of the Metro South Clinical AI Working Group and the Queensland Health Sepsis AI Working Group. He is also immediate past inaugural chair of the Australian Deprescribing Network.
