Fees

The Fellowship Support Program (FSP) is a self-funded training program. Please see details of fees below.

 

Description Cost
Application fee $525 AUD (at time of acceptance)
Education program

Standard entry: Foundation Term (six-month FTE term) and FSP Terms 1–4

Foundation Term: $14,000 AUD

Year 1: $14,000 AUD per six-month term

Year 2: $10,000 AUD per six-month term

Advanced entry: FSP Terms 1–4 only

Year 1: $14,000 AUD per six-month term

Year 2: $10,000 AUD per six-month term

Extension Term $2500 AUD per term (where applicable)

National entry assessment: From 2026.2 all FSP applicants are required to sit the national entry assessment and pay the required fee. Find out more here.

RACGP membership: It is a requirement that you hold current membership of the RACGP from commencement of training. Information on RACGP membership fees can be found here.

RACGP General Practice Experience Assessment: You’ll also be required to have your general practice experience assessed via an RACGP General Practice Experience Assessment. More information can be found here.

RACGP Fellowship exams: RACGP Fellowship exam fees are also payable. Information on RACGP exam fees can be found here.
 


RACGP may review fees and can make changes at any time due to a variety of factors including operational costs, improvements to programs and delivery requirements.

RACGP understands the impact of these changes on participants and will notify participants of any fee changes.

 
  • $200 per Change in circumstance application

Note:

  • One CIC application per term is included in the education phase for all cohorts.
  • One CIC application per term is included in consolidation fees for those commencing the FSP from July 2025 (2025.2).


If you decide to voluntarily withdraw from the training program after the commencement of training, your decision is subject to a cooling off period of 20 business days to give you time to reconsider your decision as per the RACGP Withdrawal Policy.

Program fees:

The following refunds apply upon withdrawal from the program:

  • withdrawal prior to start of term = refundable less $500
  • withdrawal after start of term but within 30 days of start of term = refundable less $1,000
  • otherwise, non-refundable.

Other fees: non-refundable.


Fees are payable upon issue of your Program Agreement (by the specified due date) for the first term, and four weeks prior to each consecutive term (unless alternative payment arrangements are made with the College prior).
