Dr Haque is a full-time medical practitioner for 33 years. He has graduated from Dhaka University on 1989 and completed his Family Medicine training in Cape Town South Africa in 2001. He has worked in QLD, NT and Victoria before attaining his FRACGP in 2004. Immediately after Fellowship he became an Examiner and QA examiner of the RACGP. He became a Fellow with the Department of General Practice at Melbourne University and GP teacher for the medical student of Melbouune University. Now he is a clinical Senior Lecturer with Deakin University and regularly teaches 3rd year and 4th year medical students. He is a practice principal and owner of the Sanctuary Lake Medical Practice in Point Cook Victoria and does subcontracting GP work in Geelong and other parts of Victoria. He is supervisor and medical educator for the GP registrar of Fellowship Support Program (FSP). He is a qualitative researcher and has Medline listed research article and few more publications. He has been an advocating for long to open a special interest group and chapter of “Advanced Family Medicine” at RACGP to train further after fellowship on common challenging and emerging common medical problems.  He is also advocating to get some part of GP training in the Metropolitan Cities In Australia saying “Missed Opportunities to train IMG’s and GP’s in the cities to combat the shortage of GPs”.

He is committed to work with all stakeholders and RACGP to improve the GP support, quality of care and recognition for higher Medicare  rebate for the General Practitioners in Australia.
