Western Australia Representative
Dr Olga Ward has been a procedural rural GP in Western Australia for the past 28 years. She was one of the first to achieve the Fellowship in Advanced Rural General Practice, completing her advanced skills in both Surgery and Adult Internal Medicine. Dr Ward currently works in several small towns in the WA wheatbelt via regular clinics with the Royal Flying Doctors Service and in suburban Bentley when she’s in Perth.
In 2020 Dr Ward was the joint winner of the Australian Medical Association's (WA) Hippocrates Award for her unwavering commitment to the profession of medicine and dedicated service to patients and the broader community.
She also enjoys teaching students and working in palliative care and aviation medicine. Apart from General Practice, her other work involves the support and education of rural GPs.
