RACGP Anaesthetics Working Group


RACGP’s Anaesthetics Working Group meets regularly to consider common issues facing Rural Generalist (RG) Anaesthetists and promotes the development of advanced skills training. It is made up of RACGP representatives from around Australia who are all rural GP Anaesthetists committed to the interests of RACGP members and their patients.

The Chair, Dr Peter Gilchrist, sits on the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthesia (ANZCA) committee which has been tasked with developing curriculum and assessment methods for a proposed Diploma of Rural Generalist Anaesthesia (DRGA). The RACGP Anaesthetics Working Group advocates for the best outcomes for RACGP members in the development of the diploma and in other key areas.
