7 August 2023
This notice is to advise that the RACGP has updated the AGPT Registrar training handbook. The updated handbook will come into immediate effect, superseding the previous corresponding handbook as of Monday, 7 August 2023
What has changed?
There were discrepancies in the previous version of handbook re. leave requirements pertaining to RPLE applications. These have been made consistent throughout the handbook to reflect the following:
Applications may include up to seven weeks of approved leave per year pro rata, which may include any combination of personal leave, sick or carers leave and educational leave.
Provide registrars with accurate and consistent information.
|More information and detail added re:
|Provide registrars with detailed and up-to-date information about the leave categories they may be eligible for.
|Extended training skills term
|The ‘Extended Skills Training term’ was sometimes referred to as ‘GPT4’ in the previous version of the handbook, which created confusion amongst some users. Use of ‘GPT4’ has been replaced with ‘Extended Training Skills terms’ throughout the handbook.
|Improve clarity by using consistent terminology throughout the handbook.
|Ensure consistency with map used on RACGP website.
|Placement considerations > international placement
|Added link to Accreditation of placements for ADF registrars
|Provide ADF registrars with access to ADF accreditation and placement resources.
|Updated to remove obsolete content
