The RACGP Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Georgina van de Water as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Many of you may know Georgina as our Chief GP Training Officer at the RACGP. She has extensive experience in working in the primary healthcare sector and previously served as CEO of GP Synergy until 2022, when she joined RACGP during the lead up to the return of training to the RACGP on 1 February 2023.
Georgina has held previous roles as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO at WentWest and GP Synergy respectively. Georgina brings extensive experience in senior leadership roles, both nationally and internationally. She has a proven track record of outstanding strategic stakeholder engagement and service through optimising employee development and performance.
The Board wishes to thank Dr David Hillis for his time as the interim CEO. David will continue to be with us until 4 April and Georgina will officially commence as our CEO on 5 April 2024.
