Letters of Status
Doctors who are on an RACGP Fellowship pathway may be asked for a letter from the RACGP confirming their progress towards Fellowship. The requirement may be from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) in relation to medical registration, from Medicare Australia in relation to a provider number, or from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship in relation to a visa.
The RACGP is pleased to assist doctors on a pathway to Fellowship by providing a Letter of RACGP Fellowship Status.
To be eligible for a Letter of RACGP Fellowship Status you must be on a pathway to RACGP Fellowship.
Specialist Pathway Program Category 1 candidates are not eligible for a Letter of Status and are required to:
a. Complete the SPP application
b. Obtain FAEG.
- Following admission to Fellowship, Letters of Status no longer apply.
To request a Letter of RACGP Fellowship Status, please complete the interactive application form, print, sign and return to the RACGP scanned by email to firstname.lastname@example.org (preferred method), by fax to 03 8699 0400. Please remember to keep a copy of your completed and signed form.
On receipt of your application, the RACGP will send you an invoice for payment of the fee ($50 for RACGP members and $150 for non-members). Applications will only be processed once full payment has been received.
