Description

This is a Leatham stethoscope named after its creator, the British cardiologist Dr Aubrey Leatham, who developed it in the 1940s. The chestpiece of this item comprises of two components for observing different forms of ‘auscultation’ (body noise). Application of the cup (at left) produces low-frequency sounds, while the disc (at front) produces high-frequency sounds.
