Description

This is a medicinal measuring cup typically included in the kits of GPs engaged in home visits. Home visits comprised a significant component of the workload of GPs last century. In caring for patients away from the surgery GPs were required to take portable instruments and accessories with them, for use at the patient’s bedside. This glass cup provides measurements for tablespoon and teaspoon volumes. It has a matching carrying case to protect it during travel. The item was manufactured in the United Kingdom in about 1930.
