Event refund guidelines

RACGP Rural Faculty: Event refund guidelines

Introduction

These guidelines are based on the delegate conditions and cancellation policy available on the RACGP website.

Upon registration for RACGP Rural events, RACGP members and non-members are required to acknowledge that they have read these terms and conditions.

These conditions apply to RACGP Rural’s face-to-face and online workshops, webinars, sessions, conferences, and any other events.

Transfers

As per the above-mentioned policy, where permitted, members may transfer their event registration to another event by providing written notice to the RACGP. This can be done by contacting RACGP Rural on 1800 636 764 or emailing rural@racgp.org.au and can only be processed if the same type of event is available to register into. A transfer can only be processed if written notification is received more than five business days before the event. If there are no further events scheduled, then the below refund policy applies.

Refunds/Cancellations

Where permitted, you may cancel all or part of your registration. Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent by email or mail to RACGP Rural.

If your cancellation notification is received by RACGP Rural at least five business days or more before the start date of an event that is not a conference, the RACGP will provide you with a refund of the registration cost, minus a 10% administration fee.

Please note that no refund applies if a cancellation is received less than five business days before the event (unless due to extenuating circumstances as per below).

Extenuating circumstances & COVID-19

If a member is experiencing genuine extenuating circumstances, for example an accident or injury, we may, at our discretion and upon faculty managers approval, decide to give a full refund. This is to be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

As stated in the delegate conditions and cancellation policy, if you’re unwell we can offer a cancel-on-the-day refund. It’s in everyone’s interest to ensure anyone who feels unwell stays away from events. Upon receipt of proof of a positive COVID-19 test result or a medical certificate, a refund can be provided.

Processing refunds

All refunds will be processed in a timely manner.
