Refund policy

RACGP Rural workshop and course refund policy

Introduction

This policy is based on the delegate conditions and cancellation policy available on the RACGP website. By registering for RACGP Rural events, both members and non-members are required to acknowledge that they have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.

These conditions apply to all RACGP Rural events, including face-to-face and online workshops, webinars, sessions, conferences, and other events.

Transfer

In accordance with the above policy, members may transfer their event registration to another event, where permitted, by providing written notice to RACGP Rural. This can be done by emailing rural@racgp.org.au. Transfers can only be processed if there is another event of the same type available for registration. Written notification must be received more than five business days before the event. If no alternative events are scheduled, the following refund policy will apply.

Refunds and Cancellations

Members may cancel all or part of their registration where permitted. Cancellation notifications must be submitted in writing via email rural@racgp.org.au.

  • If the cancellation notification is received at least five business days before the start date of an event (excluding conferences), a refund will be issued minus a 10% administration fee.
  • No refund will be provided if the cancellation notice is received less than five business days before the event unless the cancellation is due to extenuating circumstances (see below).

Extenuating Circumstances & COVID-19

If a member is facing genuine extenuating circumstances, such as an accident or injury, we may offer a full refund at our discretion, subject to approval from the faculty manager. Each case will be reviewed individually.

As outlined in the delegate conditions and cancellation policy, if you are unwell, a cancel-on-the-day refund can be provided. We encourage anyone feeling unwell to refrain from attending events. Refunds will be considered upon receipt of a positive COVID-19 test result or a medical certificate.

Timeframe for refund requests

All refund requests must be submitted within two weeks after the date on which the event was held. For the purposes of this policy, the event date is defined as the scheduled date on which the event took place. This time limit applies to all RACGP Rural events, including face‑to‑face and online workshops, webinars, conferences, and other CPD activities.

Processing Refunds

Refunds will be processed in a timely manner.
