Fifth edition of RACGP Standards for point-of-care testing released

The RACGP is pleased to release the Standards for point-of-care testing (5th edition) (the Standards). The Standards were developed following extensive consultation with stakeholders and piloting in general practices over a 12-month period. The Standards will support high-quality and safe point-of-care testing performed in general practices and health services.

To be accredited against the Standards, a practice must first be accredited against the RACGP’s Standards for general practices (5th edition). Accordingly, the practice needs to meet the requirements of the following modules:

  • Core
  • Quality improvement
  • General practice
  • Point-of-care testing

Visit the RACGP website to download the Standards or contact standards@racgp.org.au for more information.

RACGP Technology Survey 2018

The RACGP is running its fourth annual Technology Survey to gain insight and opinions on the use of technology among GPs in Australia.

By completing the 2018 RACGP Technology Survey, you will be contributing your experience and expertise, to assist the RACGP in understanding what systems are being used, what future investment is needed, and the key technology challenges faced by the general practice profession.

Survey results will help the RACGP gain better insight into the role technology plays for GPs and general practice registrars throughout Australia.

The survey closes on 30 November.

Visit the RACGP website for further information and to access past survey reports.
