This notice is to advise that the RACGP has updated the Fellowship Exams Policy. The updated policy will come into immediate effect, superseding the previous corresponding policies as of Friday, 16 February 2024.

Clause amended to make it explicit that registrars on parental leave are eligible to sit Fellowship exams provided their request is supported by their program team.

Although the RACGP was already allowing registrars to sit Fellowship Exams while on parental leave (via an application for exemption), the current policy makes it clearer that registrars on parental leave will get an automatic exemption provided it is supported by their program team.
Update was made to address a request from the AMA to bring the RACGP policy in alignment with other specialist medical colleges.
