This notice is to advise that the RACGP has updated the PESCI Policy. The updated policy will come into immediate effect, superseding the previous corresponding policies as of Monday, 6 November 2023

Inclusion of clauses 5.4.iii and 5.4.iv:
- All panel chairs must work in active general practice.
- Panels members generally must work in active general practice; however, general practitioners within two years of retirement from active general practice will be considered for panel membership on a case-by-case basis.

The previous version of the PESCI Policy mirrored the requirements of the MBA’s Guidelines for PESCI panel members.
This new version includes the additional requirement for ‘work in active clinical practice’ to ensure consistency with the RACGP’s requirements for examiners.
