Policy Update Notice - Leave Policy

This notice is to advise that the RACGP has updated the Leave Policy. The updated policy will come into immediate effect, superseding the previous corresponding policies as of Friday, 16 February 2024.

AGPT registrars (incl. RG registrars) will no longer need to demonstrate extenuating and unforeseen circumstances when applying for an additional 26 weeks of Category 2 leave.

This change does not apply to FSP registrars.

Clarify rules applicable to Category 2 leave for AGPT registrars, incl. RG registrars.

Align with ACCRM on management of program leave.

4.6 Wording updated for clarity. No change of intent. Improve clarity for policy users.
