This provides a detailed tour of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) process including exam tips and preparation tips. Video vignettes illustrate exam performance and how it can be improved. Experienced examiners then lead small groups through different OSCE stations. Group sizes are capped to provide more opportunity for performing and discussing. Although stations are timed, there is sufficient time to discuss both scenarios and performances. .

2019.1 ACT 'Mock OSCE' Simulated Exam

Time: 1:00pm - 5:30pm

This workshop is for candidates who are already familiar with the exam requirements. It is designed to 'finish off' your exam preparation. By realistically replicating the exam environment, Mock OSCE provides a good feel of time and exam pressures.

The simulated exam of eight clinical stations includes short cases, long cases and structured viva. Participants will undertake the exam rotation either singly or in pairs, thus providing participation in four cases and observing four cases. Examiners will mark participants after the exam, the QA examiners will provide feedback as a group and participants will receive individual rating sheets.

A 1.5 hour physical examination tutorial runs in parallel with each exam rotation

Part 1 of the Thursday evening series is specifically designed to assist RACGP Fellowship candidates with their preparation for the online component of the College exam (KFP & AKT). The 6 sessions are in lecture format, with a different topic each week delivered by a specialist in that area: Indroduction and written paper, Dermatology, Heamatology, ECG, Ophthalmology, Biochemistry interpretation and 7th session is a QUIZ.

2019.1 Simulated OSCE Exam Workshop

This half day simulated Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) Darwin aims to provide candidates with a greater understanding of the examination and examiner expectations for successful performance within the OSCE. Undertaken in pairs, candidates will rotate through eight stations consisting of short, long and a VIVA cases administered by experienced NT OSCE examiners. Participant numbers are limited with this workshop, early registration is encouraged to secure your place.

Join our study group in preparation for the FRACGP exams.
