The RACGP has provided a submission to the Australian Pharmacy Council on the Performance Outcomes for Aged Care and Medication Management Review (MMR) Pharmacists Education Programs.
The RACGP had previously provided feedback in May 2023 regarding the then proposed Accreditation Standards for Aged Care and MMR Pharmacists Education Programs. The RACGP is supportive of measures to improve medication management in residential aged care and are generally supportive of the Aged Care On-site Pharmacists measure. However, we remain concerned as gaps still persist within the accreditation standards and framework itself.
