The RACGP has provided a submission to the MBS Review on the report from the Cleft Dental Services Working Group.
The Working Group has recommended that GPs and registered dentists be allowed to refer for all oral and maxillofacial items (Group C2) within the MBS. The report notes that this will simplify the treatment pathway and ensure patients have access to appropriate clinical procedures.
The RACGP submission expresses support for this recommendation.
