The RACGP thanks the Therapeutic Goods Association for the opportunity to provide comment on the consultation document Complaints handling - Advertising therapeutic goods to the public. This document proposes a more transparent, streamlined approach to complaint handling. Misleading advertising of therapeutic goods is problematic and can lead to detrimental outcomes for patients. The RACGP supports the proposed approach and suggests stronger consequences for deliberate offenders.
