Message from the President
The college is very pleased to announce another new e-health initiative. The RACGP is working with the National e-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) towards incorporating their Model Healthcare Community at the John Murtagh Centre between early April and 30 September 2010 onsite at College House in South Melbourne. e-health Futures is an innovative and interactive e-health display, which will involve setting up a walkthrough experience of how e-health information will work among health care professionals.

H1N1 Update: Chief Medical Officer letter to GPs
18 February 2010 - The Australian Government Chief Medical Officer recently wrote to Australian GPs with an update of the H1N1 epidemic in Australia. In addition, a new H1N1 Influenza Vaccination General Practice Poster and Brochure have been released. Detailed information and resources to support Australian general practice in managing the pandemic, including the RACGP Pandemic Flu Kit, can be found at www.racgp.org.au/h1n1.
Library services
Please note that due to the temporary relocation of the Library and building work on the ground floor at College House, South Melbourne the Library will be closed to visitors until April 10th. Additionally all staff-delivered library services will be suspended for a period of two weeks commencing Monday 15th March 2010. We apologise for the short notice and any inconvenience caused. The Library's online resources will be available via the website for all members including ejournals, point of care database DynaMed, ebooks and a range of fully-searchable databases covering subjects such as health, general medicine, nursing and psychology.

Submission to the Minister for Health and Ageing: Federal Budget 2010–2011
The RACGP seeks Federal Government consideration of its proposals, which aim to facilitate the delivery of safe, efficient, coordinated, and comprehensive general practice and primary health care. The college is committed to working with all levels of government to improve access to high quality care, and to better meet the needs of our local communities.

Teenage pregnancy – Keeping the baby
Suitable for general practitioners (GPs) and practice nurses, this activity has been designed to help provide optimal primary care management to pregnant teenagers who wish to keep their baby.

Antenatal advice and psychosocial care in pregnancy
This active learning module (ALM) to help optimise the primary care management of women who are pregnant, and has been approved for women's health specific interest points.

Louise - painful breast lumps
This case features Louise, who has a long history of painful lumpy breasts. It highlights the triple test process and how to distinguish simple from complex cysts. It also includes diagnosis and management of mastalgia. It concludes with a summary of facts about well-woman screening.
