The Monitored Medicines Prescribing Code came into effect on 12 December 2024, replacing the Schedule 8 Prescribing Code. This update focuses on the key changes to the prescribing of monitored medicines under the Code, including changes to the prescription of S8 stimulant medicines, medicinal cannabis and opioids as well as changes regarding ScriptCheckWA .
