Hepatitis C in General Practice Forum

On-demand recorded 30 Jan 2024

General Practitioners are key to eliminating hepatitis C as a public health concern by 2028 as most people with hepatitis C can be managed within general practice without needing specialist care

This session will increase GP understanding and confidence in hepatitis C testing and treatment by identifying priority populations, test types required and treatment options.

GPs will be able to speak with an experienced GP and Specialist and learn more about how to effectively manage hepatitis C patients in their clinics.

Learning outcomes

  1. Increase GP confidence in identifying patients for hepatitis C
  2. Interpret hepatitis C test results
  3. Identify when to prescribe direct acting antivirals for hepatitis C treatment and when specialist referral is required
