New Cardiac risk assessment tools help but good communication skills are needed to put the risks in context. In particular, when the patient brings in the results of their online (read: social media) searches and horror stories. Many patients will have smart watches and “health apps” telling them all sorts of things. How do we navigate all these to advise and work with the patients confidently for the best outcomes.
