The National Lung Cancer Screening Program: What GPs need to know

Join our National Lung Cancer Screening Program webinar Launching in July 2025, the National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) will offer free low-dose CT scans to people aged 50-70 years with a referral from their general practitioner. The NLCSP is the first new screening program in 20 years and presents a significant opportunity to detect cancer earlier, enhance treatment options and improve outcomes for one of the deadliest cancers in NSW. It will focus on the early detection of lung cancer in high-risk individuals with a smoking history who have no symptoms. We encourage you to prepare now by identify eligible patients in your practice software, promoting the NLCSP and making referrals from July 2025.
