Dr Janie Maxwell

Dr. Janie Maxwell is a General Practitioner and an academic at the Nossal Institute for Global Health at the University of Melbourne. Janie’s interest in health equity and sustainability underpin her work which spans clinical practice, research and teaching. Janie’s academic work focuses on the nexus between climate change and health, in particular the role of the health profession and medical education in climate change. As a clinician, Janie has a special interest in remote and global health, primary care, psychiatry and obstetrics. Janie co-authored a book chapter: Mental health, the forgotten NCD in Dancing in the Rain: living with NCDs.
