The RACGP Reconciliation Plan 2020-2022

Respect

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples deserve our deepest respect as the First Nations peoples of Australia.

For the College specifically, respect is key to creating a culturally safe environment for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who interact with the RACGP, whether this be staff, members, patients, or other stakeholders.

We need to take our workforce on an ongoing learning and reflective practice to collectively improve our ways of working and learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, perspectives, and knowledge systems.
