Maternity moments webinar series – Postpartum care

On-demand recorded 20 Jul 2023

Dr Wendy Burton (Chair, RACGP Specific Interests Antenatal and Postnatal Care) has created this short, sharp educational webinar series with the busy GP in mind. Participants will be following the consult journey of:

  • Preconception
  • First visit / referral
  • First trimester
  • Second trimester
  • Third trimester
  • Postpartum
Each webinar will allow GPs to review the latest information for antenatal and postnatal care and general tips about these key appointments including:
  • Patient education
  • Screenings and management
  • Supporting social, cultural, and psychological needs
  • Common referrals
  • Suggested resources for both patients and doctors to support the complex journey of pregnancy and birth
This webinar series has been made to encourage all GPs to feel more confident about managing preconception, pregnancy and postpartum conversations, and is not just for shared-care providers.
