Introduction
Case histories are based on actual medical negligence claims or
medicolegal referrals; however certain facts have been omitted or
changed by the author to ensure the anonymity of the parties involved.
This article discusses a claim arising out of an alleged failure to
diagnose a tendon injury involving a finger. The case highlights some
of the challenges in managing hand injuries in general practice.
