Syphilis outbreaks in WA: 2024 update

Join GPs Dr Grace Phua and Dr Adriane Houghton for an update on the syphilis outbreak in Western Australia. Facilitated by Dr Aesen Thambiran.
 
This practical webinar covers the basic epidemiology, the target populations for syphilis response and testing processes. We will look at the priority populations, congenital syphilis and identify the opportunities to test in general practice.

Presenters

Dr Adriane Houghton

Adriane is a Ngarluma, Nyikina, Nyiyaparli, Nyul Nyul and Yindijibarndi woman who was born on Kariyarra country (Port Hedland) and works at the Hedland Health Campus as a Doctor specialising in Obstetrics. When she's not working, you can find Adriane spending time with family and friends. Adriane's greatest passions are Aboriginal health, Women’s health and Rural/Remote health which is why she has chosen to live & work back in the Pilbara region.
