Dr Craig Hughes
Dr Craig Hughes is an orthopaedic surgeon with clinical interests in hip and knee surgery, orthopaedic trauma and robot-assisted surgery.
Dr Craig Hughes is an orthopaedic surgeon interested in trauma surgery and robot-assisted surgery. Having served in the Australian Army for 4 years, Craig is also committed to providing essential ongoing support to veterans.
After graduating with a medical degree from Flinders University in 1999, Craig concluded his advanced orthopaedics training and became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012.
He went on to gain extensive experience in trauma while serving in the Australian Army as a Regimental Medical Officer for the Commando 4RAR Battalion. He has also completed additional fellowship training in navigated hip and knee arthroplasty and an Australian Orthopaedic Association Fellowship in computer-navigated hip and knee replacement.
Craig is also passionate about teaching. He is a Senior Instructor for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and is actively involved in teaching junior doctors and orthopaedic registrars.
