Dr Brett Halliday


Dr Brett Halliday is an orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in primary and revision joint replacement of the hip and knee, knee arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, sports injuries, and shoulder surgery.

Brett graduated from The University of Queensland’s Medical School in 1988 and went on to complete his specialist orthopaedics training in 1997.

He subsequently held an appointment as Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital’s (RBWH) Deputy Director of Orthopaedic Surgery for a year, before seeking further training in joint replacement and trauma management at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in the UK. Brett was the Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at RBWH from 2000 to 2002 before moving to private practice.

Dr Halliday is also actively involved in training medical students, junior doctors and orthopaedic registrars, and is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association’s Training Committee for its Queensland branch.
