Roundtable panel discussion:  Non-medication interventions that reflect current evidence

Session Plan:
It is not uncommon for patients and at times, their GPs, to seek medication-based solutions and non-medication options are sometimes not considered or recommended.  With the plethora of alternative practices out there based on pseudoscience, it can be difficult for the GP to know what evidence underpins non-medication interventions.  This roundtable brings together experts who will discuss and inform you on where to find evidence based non-medication interventions and how to implement these into your everyday general practice.

Learning Outcomes:
1.    Locate and assess evidence based non-medication interventions.
2.    Provide a variety of interventions to patients who may wish to avoid medication therapy
3.    ‘Prescribe’ non-drug therapy and incorporate non-medication interventions into practice
