Quality improvements to patient safety and care

Session Plan:
This session will give GPs an overview of Quality Improvement including the key prinicples and it's relevance to practice and patients. The methodologies and tools used within quality improvement will be examined with workshop activities identifying appropriate measure and data sources. Attenddes will use the Model for Improvement framework and the Plan-Do-Study-Act tool to leave the session with the beginnings of a PDS that can be implemented in their practice.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Identify quality improvement methodologies and frameworks. 
2. Identify quality improvement tools to support practice activities and patient safety. 
3. Identify different sources of clinical data for improvement. 
4. Identify the process of the Plan Do Study Act cycle (consider deleting as self-evident).
