Joint Consultative Committees

The Joint Consultative Committees involve representatives from the relevant specialist college and the RACGP. The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is also a member of some JCCs.

Meeting frequency varies between JCCs, but generally includes one face-to-face meeting, and 2 or more teleconferences per year. JCCs currently in operation are:

  • Joint Consultative Committee on Medical Acupuncture (JCCMA)
  • Joint Consultative Committee on Anaesthesia (JCCA)
  • Joint Consultative Committee on Emergency Medicine (JCCEM)
  • Conjoint Committee for the Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (CCDOG)
  • Joint Consultative Committee on Radiology and Radiography (JCCRR)
  • Joint Consultative Committee on General Practice Procedural Surgery (JCC-GPPS)
