RACGP response: Konakion and Diazepam in the Emergency Drug Supply

At its August 2011 Special meeting, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) considered a number of pieces of correspondence relating to either general access (or access to specified items) under the PBS emergency drug supply provisions. One matter raised was the availability in the emergency drug supply items of diazepam and oral vitamin K to help treat over-warfarinised patients instead of having to send them to an emergency department.
