Sports Solutions: Managing the Injuries
GPs have commented that this workshop has provided insights and skills in successfully managing the 'Monday morning walking wounded'.
Sports solutions reviews common injuries caused by overuse, direct impact, strains and sprains and considers how managing a sports injury correctly minimises the damage and maximises the chances of a full recovery.
Delivered in Launceston, Sports Solutions is an interactive full-day workshop.
RACGP Tasmania in collaboration with the University of Tasmania and the Pharmaceutical Society, Healthstop@Agfest provides a fantastic opportunity for medical students to offer blood pressure testing and preventative health advice to a diverse range of Agfest patrons.
Students are supervised by UTas clinical lecturers and RACGP general practitioners who generously volunteer their time to mentor and support our upcoming doctors.
A complimentary Agfest entry pass is provided to volunteers.
If you are available for an hour or two to assist at HealthStop, we warmly welcome you. Please contact Julia with your availability and preference for day and time.
