FPS CPD Masterclass
This FREE masterclass has been developed for GPs who are registered as Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) providers and require an accredited CPD activity in each triennium in order to continue to access the Medical Benefits Scheme item numbers for FPS (2721- 2727).
The master class is offered in four two-hour evening sessions in a teleconference format facilitated by a GP with a specific mental health interest.
Please ensure that you are available for all four sessions listed below. Each session will begin at 6.30 pm.

Sports Solutions: Managing the Injuries
Sports Solutions reviews common injuries caused by overuse, direct impact, strains and sprains, and consider how to best manage suspected concussion and spinal injuries in a range of circumstances.
GPs have commented that this interactive workshop has provided insights and skills in successfully managing the Monday morning 'walking wounded' and many other accident and work injury-related presentations.
Delivered in Launceston, Sports Solutions is an interactive full-day workshop attracting
40 RACGP Category 1 QI&CPD points, and accredited CPR.

Can you help supervise medical students at HealthStop@Agfest?
Developed by RACGP Tasmania in partnership with the University of Tasmania, College of Health and Medicine (UTAS) and the Pharmaceutical Society, HealthStop is an opportunistic, preventative health initiative which provides a fantastic opportunity for medical students to offer blood pressure testing and health advice to a diverse range of Agfest patrons.
Students are supervised by UTas clinical lecturers and RACGP general practitioners who generously volunteer their time to mentor and support our upcoming doctors. A complimentary Agfest entry pass is provided to volunteers.

Introduction To Point-of-care Ultrasound - Hobart
The 'Introduction to point-of-care ultrasound for rural GPs' Active Learning Module (ALM) is designed to support rural GPs to increase their understanding of the applications of point-of-care ultrasound in the diagnostic process. The training is delivered by rural GPs and sonographers who are experienced in using ultrasound in their practice environment.
This full-day ALM will give general practice registrars and rural & remote GPs the opportunity to identify practical applications of ultrasound technology in rural general practice settings and utilise point of care ultrasound devices under the guidance of experts.
The ALM is accredited for 40 QI&CPD Category 1 points and is also approved for the Rural Procedural Grants Program.
The ALM runs from 8.30am till 4.30pm and will be offered to RACGP members at $495 (incl. GST) . Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Celebrating General Practice: Fellowship and Awards Ceremony
A date for your diary.
The Fellowship and Awards Presentation Ceremony is designed to applaud the achievements of our New Fellows, honour award winners and celebrate collegiality. This year's celebrations will be held at The Astley Room, Derwent Entertainment Centre, Hobart.
All members of the general practice community are warmly invited to witness the official presentations together with their colleagues, family and friends. Celebratory drinks and canapés will follow the formal program.
Attendance at the ceremony is free to all RACGP Fellows and one complimentary guest. Additional guests are welcomed for a small fee.
