CPR Workshop - Brisbane (FULL)

This workshop, facilitated by BLS First Aid, will incorporate HLTAID001 'Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation' in accordance with the 2016 ARC Guidelines.

This workshop will cover:

  • DRSABCD Action Plan
  • management of the breathing, unresponsive casualty
  • management of the non-breathing, unresponsive casualty
  • resuscitation of an adult, child and infant
  • introduce the use of a defibrillator.

Note: To complete assessment of CPR you must be physically able to perform two minutes of continuous CPR on the floor. If you are unable to do so please contact us to discuss your options.

Are you a GP practice owner, aspiring practice owner or a contractor wanting to develop your network and skills in the business of general practice?


Join us for our inaugural 2020 event for the RACGP Queensland Business of General Practice group. This group has been formed in response to members wanting to learn more about the businss of general practice. This event will be a great opportunity for the group committee members to meet with you and understand the areas you would like focus on moving forward. It will also be a great opportunity to meet others who are also in the business of general practice right here in Queensland.

Webinar | Obesity: Lifestyle Interventions

The prevalence of overweight and obese adults and children continues to be an increasing public health issue in Australia. GPs have a vital role in identification and treatment. A multidisciplinary, lifestyle intervention, approach with the use of dietitians and exercise physiologists may be appropriate in managing weight.


This webinar will include presentations from Steve Nichols, exercise physiologist, and Suzanna Greenwood, dietitian. It aims to help GPs set realistic goals with a shared decision making process using evidence-based, achievable and sustainable approaches to diet and physical activity.

The RACGP Queensland New Fellows Committee invite you to this full-day educational workshop with six one-hour presentations on topical issues including: genetic testing, childhood obesity, focused psychological skills, environmental health, and more.

Introduction To Point-of-care Ultrasound - Toowoomba

RACGP QLD and RACGP Rural are pleased to offer this workshop to support rural GPs to increase their understanding of the applications of point-of-care ultrasound in the diagnostic process. The training is delivered by rural GPs and sonographers experienced in using ultrasound in their practice.

This workshop will give general practice registrars and rural & remote GPs the opportunity to identify practical applications of ultrasound technology in rural general practice settings and utilise point of care ultrasound devices under the guidance of experts.
